24 Hours In The Life Of Corinne

24 Hours In The Life Of Corinne

We are living our lives and we are busy all the time. Work, friends, gym, kids, blogging, etc. Sometimes our days are full of fun things. Some other days are not. We share quite a bit of these lives on social media. Usually the best part. Sometimes the not so happy one too. Because no one is impermeable to everything. Sharing and talking also helps to feel better! But we rarely show the little and mundane things of our lives. What we actually do of our days. So I thought I’d share with you one of my typical week days.

You’re in for a treat.

Be ready for 24 hours in the life of Corinne! Yeah!

8:00 – My alarm rings. Time to wakeup. Surprisingly, and no matter how tired I might be, I never hit snooze and I always get up straight away. Heading over to the bathroom for a shower.

8:10 – I am out of the shower. I brush my teeth and apply some micellar water to my skin. That’s pretty much my skincare routine. Back in my room, I dress up and pack my things.

8:20 – I am ready to leave. I go to the kitchen, grab lunch and head out. Often, I stop at the shop on my way to get some breakfast that I’ll eat in the office. Sometimes I also get lunch because I was just too lazy to prepare it the night before. Quite often actually. And because I am also super lazy when it comes to choosing between the thousand alternatives at the Tesco, I often go for a soup!

8:25 – Waiting at Crossharbour for the DLR. If I am lucky, the first train goes to Bank, is not too crowded and I get in at the first attempt. If I am not lucky, it goes to Stratford or is super full. In the later case, I am late for work. Same when I get off at Shadwell to take the overground. Whether I wait for a train or not. It is all a question of timing. Maybe I should allow myself more time!

8:55 – I (usually) am at Shoreditch High Street and walk to the office.

9:00 – I made it to the office. I take off my coat, switch on my laptop and then go to the kitchen to make coffee.

9:10 – Back in the office, I am having breakfast and read my emails. I reply to the ones which needs immediate answer or whom answer I know, then I write a to-do list. I am a Social Media & Marketing manager for a startup so I have quite a lot to do. Social media, influencers, digital marketing, content, campaign, etc. I am in constant communication with the Creative Manager, Graphic Designer and CEO with whom I have regular meetings or just general chats.

11:00 – My boyfriend usually texts me at that time. Don’t know why. Maybe because he senses that I am starting to feel hunger and tries to distract me with a text. Sixth sense. From Edinburgh.

13:00 – Time for lunch. I head down to the kitchen. One hour to eat and relax, then make coffee and head back.

14:00 – Lunch break is over, I am back. I finish what I didn’t have time to do in the morning, then consult with the CEO to discuss future campaigns, social media strategies, influencer collaborations and so on. When I see a funny meme or stupid video on Facebook, I tag Kirsty (and keep our meme war alive).

17:00 – My day in the office is over. Time to head back to the overground station.

17:45 – I am back home. My day is not over yet. I do some freelance work aside and need to get on with these. I am currently working with two clients.

19:00 – Dinner. I do some blogging while at it, whether it is the Bloggers Night In, proof reading, tweeting, etc. If I prepare lunch for the next day, that is usually when I do it. My lunch is basically what I had for dinner the night before.

19:45 – Back to work. I work for the other client. I usually work 3 hours in the evening on my freelance projects.

20:00 – Short break in my work to post a picture on my Instagram. I post twice or thrice a week, always around 8pm because I have noticed my followers are more active at that time. I work for two clients but one project is bigger than the other, hence I spend more time on it.

22:00 – Done with work, brush my teeth, clean my face. I have two hours before I go to sleep. I do some blogging things (scheduling tweets, scrolling Instagram, completing threads, commenting on blogs, etc.). Then I either watch a show or read. I am reading this series right now, Mistborn from Brandon Sanderson and it is amazing!

00:00 – Time for bed. Sending a good night text to my boyfriend. To Kirsty also if we were chatting.

Texting my boyfriend and Kirsty (or other friends) is mentioned here only twice but rest assured I send messages way more often than that!

Corinne

So that’s basically how a typical day looks for me! Not always the most excited but for sure super busy!

How about you? What is a typical day for you? Do you even have a typical day? How does it look like? Wanna share with us 24 hours of your life?

We could even make this post a series? What do you think? Would you share your 24 hours?

Hope you liked this post.

See you soon,
Love,
Corinne

Great day you have, I am still jealous of the 8.00 alarm mine is already at 6.45 and I feel like I’ve been hit by a train lol. I also love how scheduled and organised you are, makes for a smooth ending of the day.

  2. January 18, 2018 / 12:11 pm

How in the world you do you shower, dress, and get the door so fast? LOL. It takes me 30 minutes minimum.

I actually enjoy reading about how others use their 24 hours. Mine looks different, no doubt. I may do one of these soon.

  3. January 18, 2018 / 12:26 pm

I’m impressed that you can go from bed to ready to leave in 20 minutes – I wish I could do that! My morning routine is SO long.

  4. January 18, 2018 / 1:46 pm

You have a busy day! I never hit the snooze button either. I have to wake up at 545 to make sure my daughter gets off to school and it’s tough. But I just wake up when the alarm sounds. It’s easier in the end.

  5. January 18, 2018 / 4:04 pm

Your lifestyle is really inspirational.I would really give up anything to get up that early.

  6. January 18, 2018 / 5:05 pm

I’m super nosy so I absolutely love reading “day in the life” type posts, it’s always intriguing just to learn what times people tend to get up / go to bed etc haha! It’s great to see that you still make time for some down-time activities like watching a show or reading amongst all this business, Corinne! Will Kirsty be doing one of these too?

Wow! I’m impressed you wake up at 8am and are in work an hour later! I spend ages in the morning getting ready, although most of that is browsing twitter or reading blogs he he. Sounds like you have very productive days! Thanks for sharing 💖 xx

  10. January 18, 2018 / 5:09 pm

Sounds like you have a pretty busy day!
Very jealous your alarm doesn’t go off until 8am – I’m training to be a Mental Health Nurse so my alarm as be as early as 4.30am!

Love these kinds of posts I find it so interesting to see what different people’s ‘typical’ days are like! Mine changes quite a lot as some days I have class but it usually involves a large portion of my time being spent in the library as a student aha! x

wow your days seem so busy, I wish I could get ready for work in 20 mins, takes me almost an hour!

  13. January 18, 2018 / 5:13 pm

Hi, what a fascinating insight too your day, you certainly cram a lot in. I am an early bird and do a lot more thing first thing. Mot sure I could manage two jobs though.

  14. January 18, 2018 / 5:17 pm

I literally did not take a thing in after you got to work because I was too busy trying to comprehend how you get ready in 30 minutes including shower time. That’s incredible! It takes me forever to get ready! x

Loved this post and it would be awesome if you guys made a series for this type of blog. As a mom my daily routine looks a lot different with a lot of added toddler fun haha. I would love to write a post sharing my typical day if you make a series so please let me know! ❤️❤️❤️

  16. January 18, 2018 / 5:30 pm

Wow! I always find these types of post really interesting, especially when reading about people like you who work full time as well as freelance. I think it’s a glimpse into the future for me as currently I’m a Uni student so I lack a bit of routine as everything is constantly moving around.

  17. January 18, 2018 / 5:33 pm

Great read! I love reading this kind of ‘day in the life posts’, you have inspired me to write one myself but my days are super boring haha! Congratulations on keeping so motivated and busy!

  19. January 18, 2018 / 5:48 pm

Oh my gosh you manage to pack so much into your day! I’m so nosy & love reading posts like these. Also I love your pink bag, its really pretty.

    January 18, 2018 / 5:49 pm

First of all, I’m jealous that you get to wake up at 8 am, my children wake me at 6:30 am and even after shower, breakfast and tea I still resemble what a zombie from the Walking Dead would look like. Seeing someone’s day written down like this is strange because I’ve never read a post like this before and it’s really interesting, your job sounds awesome by the way.

  21. January 18, 2018 / 5:57 pm

Wow, your day is far more productive than mine! I’m lucky if I can stay up past 10pm these days (which makes me feel old, haha!) as much as I might wish that I had another couple of hours in the day! This is a great idea for a post, loved it.

  22. January 18, 2018 / 8:43 pm

This is such an interesting post! It’s so cool to see what happens in other bloggers’ lives (or maybe I’m just nosy) but I’m amazed how quickly you get out of bed! I spend at least 10 minutes on my phone before I can drag myself out haha.

  23. January 18, 2018 / 10:10 pm

Whenever my alarm goes off at around 6:30AM, I never hit snooze too but I don’t necessarily get up straight away – more or less stay in bed for few extra minutes! I’ve seen micellar water in Sephora and other stores but didn’t know if I should or shouldn’t try it – my skincare routine is currently nonexistent though so maybe I should get micellar water to get back into taking better care of my skin. I definitely can relate to to sending memes to my friends – I think that’s practically how we start every conversation hahaha

  24. January 18, 2018 / 10:25 pm

It is always interesting to see what another persons day is like, to almost take a walk in their shoes. It sounds like you manage to fit so much into your day as well.

  25. January 18, 2018 / 10:27 pm

My 24 hour is super boring. Wake up, get self ready. Get one of my kids ready for school. Go to work, and leave the office after 8 hours. Come home, feed the kids, get them ready for bed and blog and go to bed.

  26. January 18, 2018 / 11:19 pm

Oh I love these kind of posts, I am so nosy and love to see how others spend their days! My days are never the same, with four kids there is no such thing as an average day!

  27. January 19, 2018 / 3:23 am

That’s was a fun post. My 24 hours does vary. On a good day I’m doing more then just sitting at home. So an active 24 hours is on the weekend. A series would be entertaining.

  28. Ally
    January 19, 2018 / 8:00 am

OMG This is too fun! I love how transparent you are with this post. My 24 hours wouldn’t be this exciting though.

  29. January 19, 2018 / 11:32 am

Jealous of your 8 AM wake up time. I have got mine set to 5:45, which is awful because I have become a night owl.

  30. January 19, 2018 / 12:03 pm

What a nice day you had! I think you’re really productive. Wish I can do this kind of post too.

  31. January 19, 2018 / 3:46 pm

Your day is very busy! I love that you make time for the special people in your life instead of just burying yourself in your career.

  32. January 19, 2018 / 4:44 pm

ok… so i’m sure many people are telling you how impressive your work ethic is and your dedication is incredible. i just wanna point out that it doesn’t seem that you leave much time to happiness, fun, and self-care… just saying…

    • January 20, 2018 / 2:12 am

This is so true – make sure you have some you time as well (I’m hoping that happens on the weekend).

    January 19, 2018 / 5:48 pm

Busy day! I feel like we now live in a society that rarely has one specific job like you’re freelance stuff. It’s such a different world now and so much is possible. It’s just how do we fit it all in? 🙂

  34. January 19, 2018 / 7:18 pm

Wow, you have very busy days! Remember to take some time out for yourself too as well as thinking and caring for everyone else. I admire your work ethic though!

  35. January 19, 2018 / 7:23 pm

Your day sounds very busy. I like your positive look at getting things done.

  36. January 19, 2018 / 7:43 pm

Busy day, what are you doing during weekends? Each day looks kind of different for me because I have two different kinds of job and also a kid!

  37. January 19, 2018 / 9:11 pm

I do not miss early mornings. I sleep in every single day. LOL

  38. January 20, 2018 / 1:40 am

I loved reading about what you’re up too in a day. It’s probably why vlogs on youtube are my fav to watch. I’d love to write a 24 hr post..not sure how exciting it would be but def love to do so.

  39. Savannah Pham
    January 20, 2018 / 4:29 am

Sounds like you have a busy daily routine! I can’t believe you’re out of the house within an 20 minutes of waking up – that’s crazy! If it were me, I would be hitting the snooze button or laying in bed because it’s so warm.

  40. January 20, 2018 / 4:55 am

You have a very productive and interesting day. Thank you so much for sharing you day with us.

Sounds like you have a pretty busy day! I like your positive look at getting things done. Nice

  42. January 20, 2018 / 9:00 am

I smiled lot while reading your usual 24 hours routine. But for me this is as I wish and relaxed too since I left my fulltime job.

  43. Shell
    January 20, 2018 / 1:21 pm

This was fun getting a glimpse into how someone else uses their 24 hours… my days are jam packed but mostly they are always the same… Sunday is my one day to stay home in jammies all day but I’m usually still working too 🙂

  44. January 20, 2018 / 2:58 pm

I do have a typical day as well but I’m a SAHM so my typical day is spent teaching, driving my kids around, and cleaning. I do most my blogging at night! Even though it may seem mundane, sometimes having a typical day is better than having a terrible day 🙂

  45. January 20, 2018 / 5:46 pm

You are extremely organised, it was fun to hear how you like to keep your routine. You work hard! I think I tend to do things pretty repetitive in my day to day tasks but I like it that way. Because I have a lot of freetime at the moment I prioritize my tasks for the day and usually spend the evening more relaxed!

    January 20, 2018 / 7:03 pm

Wow! You are one fast person when it comes o get out of the door. Thumbs up!

  47. January 20, 2018 / 7:11 pm

I love seeing people being so organized. Work gets done that way!

  48. Hannah Marie
    January 20, 2018 / 8:43 pm

I envy how organized you are. I set 4 alarms, 15 minutes apart because it’s just difficult to get up in the morning. I don’t have a regular sleeping time.

  49. January 20, 2018 / 11:31 pm

What a wonderful life! I always love to know other busy woman’s life, people who use their time wisely and not to waste their time. This inspired me to write my 24 hours too!

  50. January 20, 2018 / 11:51 pm

You deserve an award. I need an entire hour! Awesome post.

    January 21, 2018 / 3:40 am

It was really nice to read what your day is like. Mine starts at 6am though. I wish I can wake up 8am, lol… But I really enjoyed how you narrate your whole day, it was a good read!

  52. January 21, 2018 / 4:01 am

That is indeed a nice routine you have, it is good to be busy most of the time, I prefer that too. My routine starts at 6 in the morning and ends at 11 in the night which includes a full.time job, two kids, and blog. It is always inspiring to read about how a day in fellow bloggers life is.

  53. January 21, 2018 / 6:44 am

I love posts like this, I find them so interesting! I did a day in the life post which I really enjoyed doing – you should definitely turn this into a series!

    January 21, 2018 / 9:18 am

I wake up at 6.50, prepare breakfast for everyone. Than I prepare my kids for school and at 8.30 I begin my work and so on all the day. The things to do never end… 🙂

    January 21, 2018 / 9:59 am

Your days sound as packed as mine. I need variety in my day, so I am always taking on new clients so that I can keep learning and doing new things. Cool idea, thanks for posting this.

    January 21, 2018 / 11:49 am

It was really interesting to read your daily routine, you are very organised, it takes all my strength to get out of bed in the morning haha.

  58. January 21, 2018 / 3:37 pm

I love these type posts where you get a glimpse into another person’s daily life and routine. You have quite the busy day, but love how organized you are with your time! Also, I am totally jealous how late you get to sleep though, lol. We are up by 4:45am. Makes for a very long day!

    January 21, 2018 / 5:01 pm

Wow! This is one amazing post. I mean, this 24 time of yours looks cool. Great idea for a personal blog post.

  60. January 21, 2018 / 5:33 pm

Mine revolves around my work schedule at the library or whether I have my daughter. Recently its been work, daughter and blog as far as time. It’s eaten up all the other time I have to be honest.

  61. January 21, 2018 / 5:36 pm

On most days, I’m waking up before everyone to get a head start on freelance work and my own blog. It’s not easy once everyone else wakes up. I’m on constant demand. Perks of working from home, right?

  62. January 21, 2018 / 7:39 pm

I am trying to get more organized these days and it was interesting to read about your day. I loved that you manage to get ready in 20 minutes, I wish I could do that too.

  63. January 21, 2018 / 8:24 pm

You must be a superwoman. I can’t imagine taking a shower in less thank 10 min (that’s fast for me) and there is no way I’d stay up until midnight! Power to you!

  64. January 21, 2018 / 9:12 pm

Most of my day consists of running around and trying to get this taken care of. I go from school drop off, school pick up, loads of laundry trying to run a business, answering emails on the go, making three meals a day. It can be so overwhelming sometimes!

  65. January 21, 2018 / 10:33 pm

You have a real busy day! Super jealous of your 8am alarm though. Mines 6.30 at a push! Lovely post .xx

  66. January 22, 2018 / 12:19 am

I like the flow of your day. For a little while I took a job outside the house and have been getting up at 4 am in order to get a head start on my blogging before heading out the door to my 8-5 job. Once home I eat and try to hang out with my girls and husband before I take a shower and head to bed. They need my attention so I try and do most of my work while they are sleeping. Always looking for a better way to manage my time and have sanity!

  67. January 23, 2018 / 7:26 pm

lol i love this share of your day! it goes to show that work is never done once the day is over and we always have other projects and streams of income to keep us busy with.

  68. January 24, 2018 / 12:48 am

It’s amazing how fast the day goes by, isn’t it? I am so jealous of your 8:00 wake up time my alarm rings at 5 blah! Oh well looking forward to the summer when it will be no alarm clock time. LOL

  69. January 26, 2018 / 3:03 pm

Wow, that is a lot that you do in a day! Just how do you manage it? Anyway: I love the format of this post-it makes a change. I also like your photos, and will definitely be trying to write something similar.
    -Lydia

  70. January 30, 2018 / 10:46 am

I find other people’s daily routines interesting to see how they differ. I work from Home so mine is very different but I can’t do anything until I’ve eaten! xxx

  71. January 30, 2018 / 7:26 pm

I love this! My day is disorganised it’s crazy, however job changes will be happening in March so maybe I’ll get a little bit of organisation and actual time to fill out my planner! Xx
