A few months ago, we got in touch with the Scottish makeup brand Sara Hill. They sent us some goodies so we could try them out and make a review here. Each of us got a lipstick and an eyeshadow. Although it took us long enough to write this post and try everything properly, the review is finally here! Now, pour yourself a cup of tea for a nice relaxing and makeup-focused reading.
Thoughts on Sara Hill Makeup

Corinne’s Makeup Choices
I got the deep plum eyeshadow and the Valentina matte lipstick. I don’t wear much makeup. I always have a really natural look. Crazy colours and heavy makeup are not really my style. I usually just apply mascara. When I go out or celebrate, I add eyeliner. However, this eyeshadow is really subtle and discret, so I enjoy wearing it on a daily basis. Even at work! It gives a shiny pastel purple aspect to the eyelid. The colour is perfect: not too strong, which I really like. The application (as well as the removal) is really easy.
Let’s move onto the lipstick now. When going to work or out, I always have some lipstick on. I love changing colour and my tan being a bit dark, bright colours do look nice on me. The Valentina lipstick is absolutely gorgeous. It’s not too flashy but still bright. I wore it for my graduation ceremony and I was really pleased: it stayed on all night long. I drank and ate but the shade never faded. I have been wearing the Valentina lipstick out quite a lot as well and did not have to apply some more every hour or so. An excellent lipstick in conclusion. I am rally happy with my choice.
Kirsty’s Makeup Choices
Unlike Corinne, makeup is something I love to play around with everyday! I love wearing more than one eye shadow, play around with matt and shimmery eye shadows, play around with the shape of my eyeliner, you get it.. I love makeup! So I went for a dark plum shade the Pomegranate eyeshadow as we were getting into the colder seasons, however for the lipstick I went for a more discrete and nude shade and chose the Prima lipstick (it is less pink in real life, compared to the photo).
The eye shadow is super pigmented, but really “buildable”. You can really play around with it, go for a light application for an everyday look, or blend less to have a darker shade for a night out. The eyeshadow has a little shimmer to it, but it’s very discrete. It is not glittery, if that makes sense, so it is perfect for everyday wear. I love to heavily apply this eyeshadow in the crease of my eye and add winged eyeliner for a party look.
The lipstick is a pinky nude colour and a matt texture. I like to wear this lipstick when I’ve worked a fair bit on my eyes. I have worn this lipstick a few times and the texture is really confortable and the lipstick doesn’t move! Like Corinne said you can eat & drink and the lipstick will not move. Which is great for lipstick.
In all we are both very happy with the products we got and would give Sarah Hill Makeup a 10/10, so we would totally recommend looking into this brand if you are looking for good quality products at affordable prices. The packaging is also very nice and is very good quality too.
