Lola’s Apothecary’s Valentine’s Day Gift Set

Lola’s Apothecary’s Valentine’s Day Gift Set

Valentine’s Day is approaching fast. In just a bit less than three weeks actually. I don’t do Valentine’s Day. For my boyfriend and I, it’s like any other day. Yet, I know for those who celebrate it, it may be hard to find the perfect gift. This is where Corinne & Kirsty comes in. I tried Lola’s Apothecary‘s Valentine’s Day gift set (also called Delicate Romance Pocket Collection) to help you get the perfect present for your other half.

The gift set comes in a black box filled with pink curly paper flakes and costs 30£ (retail value £44). Let’s talk about the content now: a candle, a body and massage oil and a chocolate bar. I am so excited about the chocolate bar but will talk about it later. First, there is one thing you need to know. Four actually. Lola’s Apothecary’s products are 100% natural, handmade in England, organic and vegan for the most of them. How wonderful?

Back to the gift set.

The body oil is called Delicate Romance. The main scents are roses and citrus with notes of vanilla and patchouli. It smells delicious and is really easy to apply. The oil penetrates the skin really quick so it doesn’t feel greasy. You can see petals of roses in the bottle, which also has the perfect size: put it in your bag and apply some oil during the day. I used some for temple massage and it was wonderful.

Lola's Apothecary

Second part of the gift set is a chocolate slab: the Queen of Roses Chocolate bar. It’s the most exciting part. To me at least. Lola’s Apothecary makes it chocolate in collaboration with award-winning British Chocolatier Aneesh Popat. It’s vegan and absolutely delicious. Eatable gold leaf and roses petals are topping it. I had never seen that before (hence why I am so excited). It’s gorgeous and delicious (and Instagrammable).

Yes, you can see on the picture below that I had a bit of it. I had more than just a bit after taking the pictures of this post. Let’s move onto the candle shall we. Something you need to know is that Lola’s Apothecary’s packagings are reusable. Yes, indeed. Once the wax has all burnt, clean the little pot and use it for something else. For you bobby pins for example.

The candle is the Delicate Romance Travel Candle and provide for 20 hours of burn time. I really like the scent. It’s subtle but persistent. The scent is quite close to the oil’s one: rose, geranium, citrus and patchouli. It’s lit in my room right now and god, it’s smells so so good.

To conclude this post (even though I think you got it), I absolutely love this gift set and I think it’s a perfect present for Valentine’s Day. Everything is gorgeous and perfect: the packaging, the design, the making, the quality, the smell, the taste. So if you didn’t know what to get for your other half, here yo fo now.

Thank you for reading. I hope you liked this post.

See you soon, Love
Corinne

What a lovely set – now I’m dying for some chocolate! Candles are lovely at turning a regular evening into something special, too.

We don’t do much for Valentine’s Day either, though it is a good excuse to eat bread and cheese for dinner!

So cute!!! If I wasn’t on a fast from candy, I would devour the chocolate in an instant…or just eat it little by little and preserving the aesthetic quality of the petals in the chocolate, lol. This set sounds so delectable, I’d use it for myself during one of my self-care days or buy two and save one for my best friend for a spa day! ❤️
