New York Fashion Week SS 2016 Round Up

New York Fashion Week SS 2016 Round Up

Like many of you I wish I attended New York Fashion Week this year (and all the other years to be honest) to discover the new Autumn and Winter collections, but for financial, geographical and fame reasons I couldn’t.

So I decided to explore the Internet and fashion magazines to check out what I was missing out on and what the new trends would be this year. But as it’s nearly spring and that I don’t really want to already be mentally prepared for next winter I decided to put together my favourite pieces from last year’s SS New York Fashion Week. That way we can all get our closets ready for next month!

I saw a lot of collections I really didn’t like, but also some gorgeous pieces, makeup inspiration and hairdos. I saw many different styles and theme collections such as total jean collections and all sparkle collections for instance, but those I preferred the most were the more classic and neutral collections which contained pieces you could easily wear everyday or for a special night out.

I decided to put together a selection of the pieces, hair style and makeup I loved the most to share them with you.

There are a lot of other collections and pieces a loved but could’t fit them all in… And if I like all the pieces and collections I showed you here my most favourite collections were the romantic and flower ones. I find that the fabrics used, the makeup and hairdos give these collections a fairy and magical vibe which is always lovely for a Spring and Summer collection.

I was quite surprised by the fact that I really like some pieces from Michael Kors, as I am not very fond of his hand bag collections. And one very special event touched my heart. The fashion designer Naeem Khan invited Trinity Faith Moran to take part of his fashion show. Trinity Faith Moran is an 11 year-old cancer patient which wish was to be part of a fashion show. I think this gesture is amazing and should be done more often!

What is your favourite piece or collection from New York Fashion Week SS  2016?
